Donovan and Declan are twins. Donovan has always been protective of his brother since they were children and it continued into adulthood. He left home years ago and made a new life for himself because he could not stay in the same house as Declan without revealing his feelings towards his twin. Years later when Declan is beaten by his boyfriend Chet and asks Donovan for help he has no choice but to bring him home to stay.
When Declan shows up he is so badly injured that Donovan wants to hold him forever and never let him go. Declan has no idea about Donovan’s love for him other than as a brother until Marc, Donovan’s best friend and lover tells him, leading him to declare his own feelings to Donovan. After resolving their relationship issues the three men are well on the way to a loving threesome when Chet shows up, gunning for them.
Stepping Stones is different type of love story because of the subject matter and Carol Lynne handles it with a great deal of sensitivity. The characters are very well developed for a novella and the sex is as hot as the reader has come to expect from this author, without detracting from a very exciting plot.
This book is about twincest and may be offensive to some readers.
