Ally Blue Interview – Monday July 28, 2008

On Monday July 28 author Ally Blue will be our guest on the blog.

Ally is a rich and famous author of hot gay manlove. She travels the world in her private jet, being waited on hand and foot by her team of pretty young men who bring her umbrella drinks and make out for her pleasure.( She made me say this!)

Ally Blue has written such memorable books as the Bay City Paranormal Investigations series (published by Samhain) including Oleander House, What Hides Inside, Twilight and Closer. Fans are waiting with bated breath for book 5 in the series An Inner Darkness that will be released on October 28, and a spin-off book Where the Heart is, Dean Delapore’s story scheduled for release in January 2009.

Ally has also authored other incredible and well received books such as Love’s Evolution (Samhain), Untamed Heart (Samhain), Fireflies (e-book and print available from Samhain), Forgotten Song (LooseId), Easy (LooseId), Willow Bend (Samhain) and Catching a Buzz (Samhain); she has contributed stories to the anthologies A Kiss at Midnight (LooseId), Hearts from the Ashes (Samhain) and Foreign Boys (Aspen Mountain Press). Ally also has a novel in The Collector Series #4 from LooseId, Eight Arms to Hold You.

The author has generously offered a prize, a signed print copy of Fireflies, through a random draw to a lucky reader who leaves a comment on either the interview or the following book reviews

I’m looking forward to Ally’s revealing answers to some of my very tough 🙂 questions and I hope you will join us on Monday, July 28 for her interview – the day before the debut of her newest novel The Happy Onion (Samhain) a romantic comedy which I have read and think is one of her best. Ally named one of the main characters in the book Thom, I’m sure as an homage to Thom Yorke, Radiohead singer and songwriter, whom she absolutely adores 🙂

Sounds great Wave, I’m looking forward to seeing the interview and the review of The Happy Onion (I’d love to know how she came up with that name!). 🙂

There’s a story behind the name which she’ll reveal in the interview. The Happy Onion is actually the name of the restaurant run by Phil, one of the characters in the book. She even has a music playlist of great songs for the book. I think she’s an even bigger music fan than I am and I didn’t think that was possible.

    Hi Ally

I wanted to make the process worth your while 🙂 I could have asked the ‘standard’ 8 – 10 questions but what fun is that LOL

Well, I’m not rich or famous and certainly don’t own a private jet (it’s very polluting anyway) but I least I do travel around the world too! Looooool.

The Happy Onion is certainly an… unusual title for a M/M comedy romance novel :). I’m looking forward to the story behind that. But Wave, did you truly have to harass the porr Ally with impossible question? Greedy girl, you are :-p.

And for a sign copy of Fireflies (even if I wouldn’t get to read it until months at best) is worth the trouble of trying to check in next Monday. :).

    Mary
But if you were a world famous author like Ally then you would be able to afford the private jet. However, as you said, you do get around the world!!

The questions weren’t hard – she’s lying. She wanted powder puff questions LOL.

I hope you do check in on Monday and put your name in the hopper for the signed copy of Fireflies

    Hey, thinking hurts my brain!
    Heh 😛

I kid. The questions are way cool. This is one the most fun and interesting interviews I’ve ever done 😀

    Hi Jen

I’m very sorry you’re mad. Would it help if I said that I read it as a Word document? The ARC isn’t even out yet. I’m so sorry but you only have to wait a week until the release of THO.

For my next interview I’ll let you read the advance copy of the book – NOT – I’ll get into trouble 🙂

Can’t wait for the interview. I love Ally’s books, I’ve read just about all of them. Absolutely loved Fireflies. By the way, love the book cover! 2 Hot guys in bed, happy smiles and holding hands, very nice *grins*

    Hi Lily
If you love the cover of The Happy Onion you’ll love the story even more. Ally writes from the heart which is why I heart her books. Next Monday can’t come soon enough for the interview.

  • JenB

    Wave – It’s still not fair. 😛

I need to come up with better bribes. Maybe if I had offered Ally a manwhore…

  • jessewave

Jen – I really hope she’s monitoring the messages b/c I’m sure she’ll take your offer “under advisement” as the legal whores say. Her interview is really funny and makes all the work worthwhile. Her picture – well you won’t believe how good she looks! Sorry about the book but it’s only a few days to July 29th when it’s released. Lots of sex and rock and roll.

  • Ally Blue

    A manwhore? For my collection??
    **perks up**
    Ally likes manwhores *g*

Wave, you are a sweetie, thank you 😀

  • jessewave

    Ally

Did you want me to negotiate with Jen for a manwhore? I can be your legal whore if you like LOL

I can’t wait for Monday so that your fans will realize that you’re not the dainty, butter won’t melt in your mouth persona we all think you are 🙂
Btw if I didn’t say it before – I had a blast with this interview. You were so great and unbelievably cooperative (and I don’t have to say that b/c I already have the interview wrapped) LOL
