THE REVIEW
This third book in the ‘Destiny’ series by TC Blue is a ‘slice of life’ story between Raj and Andrew. This means that it doesn’t actually add or take away anything from the relationship as shown in the previous two books. I still enjoyed it but is designed, I felt, as a book for the fans.
Andrew has worked himself into the ground and is forced to take a holiday by his boss. Raj is delighted as their physical relationship has suffered slightly because of the pressure that Andrew has been under. They decide to holiday at a gay B&B in Hawaii where Andrew is horrified to discover that the ‘clothing optional’ section in the brochure actually means that the majority of men are naked most of the time. Raj is amused by Andrew’s discomfort, especially when he muses that
It was just too amusing to see Drew all flustered, and over something as unremarkable as bare skin. Sometimes Raj thought their sensibilities were reversed. At least convention claimed that as the Englishman in the relationship, he should be the uptight and reserved one, rather than his American lover.
They spend their holiday getting reacquainted in the bedroom and learning that, no matter how pressured Andrew may be in his job, they have to take time to be with each other.
Destiny Takes a Holiday was a fun short with lots of TC Blue’s humour and a great deal of hot sex. The love that the two men feel for each other shines through not only in their appreciation of each other’s bodies but also in tender affection. I’d enjoyed the other two stories and as I have mentioned, this story didn’t actually add anything to what I already knew about Raj and Andrew. However, it was a great short read that I would recommend to those who have read the previous stories and want something hot and heartwarming.
I don’t mind those stories that just let you catch up with old friends as it were. Sounds like a fun little read. Must check it out since you’ve gotten me hooked on these guys. 🙂
I like these stories too as long as I’ve read the previous ones. Sometimes it’s nice to read a story which is just revisiting favourite characters.
