Coming Up This Week – September 6

Last week was really fun. Tam’s post of the Pride Parade in Ottawa, Canada yesterday was another big hit on all levels especially the video, and Aunt Lynn has promised that maybe next year she will attend the Pride Parade in California and give us her report from the front, including a video  (I hope.)

Yesterday Aunt Lynn posted her review of Josh Lanyon’s opus –  Collected Novellas Volume 1.  If you haven’t checked out the review I suggest you do so, on the way to buying the book.:) Today Kassa posted her review of Maybe by J.M. Snyder, Kris reviewed The Tenth Man, a Young Adult offering by Tamara Sheehan, and I reviewed a Sip by B.A. Tortuga – Getting Out More.  The Amber Allure “free” book The Curse of the Pharaoh’s Manicurists by Angelia Sparrow and Naomi Brooks has been extended to 6.00 A.M. on Monday because of the holiday so if you haven’t commented on the post come on down.

I’m almost finished reading In His Mind by Bonnie Dee and should have the review up first thing on Monday.  Lynn will post her review of Josh Lanyon’s Collected Novellas Volume 2 on Monday as well, so watch for it. Also on Monday the Amber Allure free book will be P.A. Brown’s Memory of Darkness.

On Tuesday I have no idea about the topic of Erastes’s post. When I contacted her she said she was quite a bit hung over and really could not even think and I shouldn’t bother her.:) I hope she sobers up by Tuesday or there will be hell to pay. Kidding!!

I will be posting my delayed review of  The Best Vacation That Never Was by Lynn Lorenz,  and Kris is reviewing Changing Jamie by Dakota Flint, a Young Adult book.

The Amber Allure “free” book today is Burrito Belle’s Gringo Guy by Dierdre O’Dare.

On Wednesday, September 9 you’re in for treat because William Maltese is being interviewed. William has written over 200 books including M/f (Harlequin Superromances), M/M romances, gay fiction and even non fiction books and he’ll talk about his very exciting and adventurous life as well as his books. Be sure to check out his interview – you don’t want to miss it. He’s very forward with his interviewer – I’m not sure he’s allowed to say such things to me.:)

The remaining interviews this month are September 16 – Sage Whistler – who is very young but a terrific writer despite her age; and A.J. Llewellyn is being interviewed on September 23 – more about his interview later.

This week we’re starting a regular feature of having a number of guest bloggers on the website. Previously the only guest bloggers were Josh Lanyon and Nicole Kimberling (separately). On September  21 Josh and Nikki will be guest blogging together and I’m really looking forward to their post. On September 24 T.A. Chase will be a guest on the website and on September 30 M.L. Rhodes will be here. Quite a full agenda for this month, wouldn’t you say? Next month will be just as exciting and I can’t wait to tell you all about it. These guest bloggers are all authors who have been interviewed on the website in the past and they liked us so much they wanted to return and have fun with you.

The reviews are continuing and on Thursday Jenre will be posting reviews for Maloney’s Law by Anne Brooke, My Brother’s Keeper by Abigail Roux and In the Rough by J.B. McDonald.

On Friday the boys are back in town and if you missed them last week you need a wake-up call because they were hot.:)

Also on Friday Aunt Lynn is reviewing Bottled Up by Andrew Grey and I will review The Lost Books 1 and 2 by Evangeline Anderson – a holdover from last week and Sweet Oblivion 4: Swarm by Jordan Castillo Price, another holdover.

On Saturday I hope to publish a preliminary list of my Top Gay Books both Classics and Contemporary. I hope that you will add to this list and eventually we’ll use it on the website as a reference whenever M/M fans are looking for recommended contemporary (and classic) books to read.

Of course there will be reviews posted on Saturday as well; I’m not sure which ones will be ready but definitely Private Dicks by Katie Allen is on the schedule!

Christian has updated the two carousels by adding new book covers and deleting some of the older ones. This will be ongoing for the next couple of weeks. He has also revamped the alphabetical  “Author” Category on the website since there were too many authors in each category, making it difficult to search for reviews.  

Last, the winner of PsyCop: Property, Blaine, has not showed up to collect his blook. If I don’t hear from you by this Thursday, September 10,  at midnight, Blaine, your book will be awarded to another blogger.
