Coming Up This Week – October 4

This is yet another exciting week but before we get there, let’s recap last week because there was so much excitement.

We had several guest bloggers this past week, M.L. Rhodes, Catt Ford & Sean Kennedy, M. Jules Aedin & Sean Kennedy in addition to our regular contributor, Erastes. ML talked about Fires of Ballian, the sequel to The Draegan Lords and she will be spending the next 2 months in the batcave (which is where she writes), finishing Fires. She also wanted your opinion on really long ones …. books, that is. She got an incredible response to both posts and I think she’s still responding to comments.:)

Erastes, Jules & Sean posted on different sides of the Lambda Literary Foundation’s decision to restrict the Lammies to its core membership. There were quite a few heated debates from bloggers who advocated for both sides, but I’m pleased to say that, as always, I was really proud that no one was rude.

Thursday started out quite innocently with what I thought was an innocuous post and a question from my email correspondent, Stuart. This turned into one of the biggest parties and even three days later bloggers were still posting.:)

Last, on Friday Sean Kennedy & Catt Ford talked about writing partnerships and incidentally about their new book Dash and Dingo which I reviewed late tonight. If you haven’t picked up this book as yet you might want to read my review about this wonderful adventure. Also today Kassa reviewed The Morning Star by M. Chandler which she likes, a lot.:)

On Monday Leslie is posting her review of that wonderful book The Golden History of Gay Fiction which chronicles the great era where it all began. After reading her review I’m sure you will be heading off to MLR Press to get the ebook or, like me, you may prefer to wait for the print book with all the incredible photographs, which should be released within a week to 10 days.

The Amber Allure “free” book is The Bear by P.A. Brown and Aunt Lynn will be posting her review of Netting Neptune by K.C. Kendricks.

On Tuesday, October 6, Erastes posts on the Black Dog of Writing, in other words, writers’ block in all its various forms. She never gets writer’s block does she?

The Amber Allure “free” book is Pas de Deux by Jamie Craig. Also on Tuesday Val will be reviewing Border Roads by Sarah Black and Leslie will be reviewing Lover’s Knots by Katherine Cross.

On Wednesday, October 7  I’m interviewing Anah Crow and Dianne Fox and we’ll find out how this writing partnership works things out and what they have in store for us.

Kassa will be reviewing Patient Eyes by Andy Eisenberg and Leslie will be posting her review of A Report from Winter, a wonderful memoir and love story by Wayne Cortois.

Thursday is another day where Stuart will be on the hot seat because he is hoping M/M authors will be able to answer another question. Last week it was standing room only – who knows what this week will bring.:)

Jenre is reviewing 3 books – The Mask He Wears by Fae Sutherland and Marguerite Labbe, Making It Up by T.C. Blue and Time After Time by J.P. Bowie.

On Friday we’re going to have the usual fights for the choices between Guy No. 1, 2, 3 etc. They have their boxing gloves on now, except for K.Z. Snow who just wants to sample the wares of the other bloggers. *g*

Aunt Lynn will be posting her review of Best Vacation That Ever Was by Lynn Lorenz and I will probably be posting my review of Sweet Oblivion 5: Elixir.

Saturday is too far away to tell you definitively which reviews will be posted but there will be some, count on it.
