Coming Up This Week – November 1

Last week you had a lot of fun with K.Z. Snow and James Buchanan who were guest blogging on a couple of controversial topics. K.Z. talked about the names of books and why they are such hot potatoes. James wants to ensure that authors do the necessary research before they write about BDSM! Rowan McBride was also in the house, kicking back and giving as good as he got.

Yesterday I confirmed once again that this site is M/M only since lately I have been getting many requests to review books that were clearly borderline in terms of fitting the definition of M/M books. I hope that this post will make it easier for authors to know which books to submit to this site for review. For those authors who have not seen the post it’s on the site here.

I also did a post asking for feedback on the new website now that we’ve been here just over 3 months, and I hope you will comment on those areas where you think we need to make changes. The Friday Guys are very popular and there’s a mini poll on the top right hand sidebar asking you to clearly state what you would like most in terms of features. *g*

On Monday Josh Lanyon has a treat for his fans, that’s all I’ll say. Also on Monday I will be posting a couple of reviews – Sympathy by Jordan Castillo Price and possibly Disguises by E.M. Lynley, together with this month’s list of Recommended Reads.

On Tuesday November 3 I don’t know what hot topic Erastes’ post will cover but I’m sure you can’t wait to find out. 🙂

Val will post a review of Mordred – Bastard Son by Douglas Clegg.

On Wednesday, November 4,  Josh Aterovis talks about what it’s like to be an author, an artist, a feature writer for Afterelton.com a very popular bisexual and gay entertainment site, as well as have his own column for gay teens. His three Young Adult books feature teenager Killian Kendall, an amateur sleuth, and you’ll be impressed at how much Josh has achieved in his short life. I will also showcase some of his art on the site.

On Thursday, November 5, Jenre will be the first interview in the second season of  my For Love of Books series. She’ll be in the unaccustomed position of  interviewee rather than sitting on the other side of the desk. 🙂
Lynn will post her review of The Phoenix by Ruth Sims.

On Friday I will be posting a promo for Strange Fortune by Josh Lanyon. This will be the first time  he has written a paranormal story, which just happens to be his longest book at 320 pages, and I can’t wait to read and review it. Josh also has another surprise for his fans which he’ll unveil on Friday.

On Saturday Jenre is reviewing Discreet Young Gentlemen by M.J. Pearson, Virgin by Jessica Freely and Aniseed & Juniper by G.S. Wiley

Next Wednesday, November 11, my interview will be with Geoffrey Knight, author of Fathom’s Five, Volume 1,The Cross of Sins reviewed here as well as Riddle of the Sands which I’ll be reviewing around the time the interview is posted. This is a fun interview – Geoff is a real character which I guess is a trait of most people who live in Australia. *g* It must be all those white beaches and sunshine!

Next Thursday, November 12, Mychael Black, author will be the guest blogger.
