This interview was going to be a surprise but since so many of you are now fans of this author I thought I would give you an opportunity to come up with a few questions.
Harper Fox will be interviewed on September 15 and she will talk about her upcoming books – A Midwinter Prince, a standalone story for Loose Id and Nine Lights Over Edinburgh which will be included in Carina’s Christmas anthology, as well as her current releases. If you have any questions for Harper please include them in the comments.

In both of her published works she writes about alcoholism and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
Does she work with diseased people or is this “just”
interest and (well done) research?

I loved “Life After Joe” and have just started on the novel, “Driftwood”. The characters Harper writes are so dynamic and vivid, and the settings so descriptive which really make the story come alive.
I wonder if Harper writes based on events/people in her life?
Are her stories planned out completely before she starts to write, or does she just sit down and write them?
I am not a writer but find it fascinating to see how authors plan their stories out.

What inspired you to write your first book?
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

I would like to know if we may see more of Aaron & Matt in the future…really loved “Life after Joe” and saw it was #5 on Carina’s bestseller list, so congrats to Harper!
Also, what does Harper do to relax in her downtime when taking a break from writing?
In both Life after Joe and Driftwood, love (and sex!) helps to restore and recuperate protagonists who are battle-worn, jaded, fixed in their lifeless ways. Is this a romantic ideal, or does Harper really believe in the power of love to conquer – and heal – all? If so, is this an experience she can personally relate to?
Place is obviously important for Harper: the descriptions of both Newcastle and Cornwall are stunning (for different reasons!). Are her characters inspired by the places she depicts, or does she feel the characters already belong to a certain area, which in turn dictates the novel’s setting?
Big up to Harper, whose novels are working to restore my own jaded belief in life and love.
Also, one more question:
What was Harper’s inspiration, as a woman, to start writing M/M erotic fiction and how authentic does she feel her description of the male sexual experience is?
