I’m sure I have this backward in terms of the sequence of ZAM’s reports from the YAOIcon but who cares. The idea is for you, the YAOI fans who were not able to be there, to see the con through the eyes of someone else, and who better than one of your favourite authors. So here is Day 2 which I think is really the first day of the con. 🙂So exciting. She fangirled us and later we met her again, and she’d just come from A Different Light bookstore in the Castro with a copy of ePistols 
at Dawn for me to sign. So exciting for me. I got to tell my kids that all the time I spend ignoring them isn’t in vain…
Okay, so officially, we met fans BoyLoveAddict, and The Librarian (who still has a picture of herself doing the “Happy Pancake Dance” from my book Drawn Together on her phone…) Wow! Stalwart lovely supporters… and we also met author TC Blue, who was along with them. So a good time was had by all…
Then, on another elevator ride, I was describing Clare London to Belinda, and telling her that I needed to be looking for her, and the car stopped and some women got on, and one of them was…. You guessed it, Clare London! So we were hugging like old friends, and talking and missed our stop, ended up going back UP in the elevator (and sadly, the couple behind us that we were blocking missed their stop too *blush*) and when we finally got off at the Atrium level there was Andrew Grey! (who is officially cute as a button, my standard description of attractive younger men…) I’m going to try to get pics today, that was 
a ships passing in the night meeting… People are so camera shy and I didn’t have mine at the time…
Then later we had this marvelous plan. Cherise Sinclair, the undisputed queen of BDSM het novels from Loose Id, came up to SF to go with us to The Citadel, a famous fetish club, and we all got in a cab, and…. it was CLOSED! (We’d checked it out on the web and it said it was going to be open play, but alas… it was not) So we ARE going to try again, this time calling first, because that was obviously something they didn’t update on their site.
The three of us managed a nice dinner at the Wharf but we were pretty disappointed. We waited for a cab in the rain and
took it back to the hotel for some tea and talk in my room. Too quiet for the evening we had planned.
Meanwhile today is the official Yaoicon day so I’m going to head out and see who else I can find! I’m looking for more of the Dreamspinner authors today!
I was present when boylove addict and the Librarian almost literally came to fisticuffs over ZAM’s book at A Different Light. *hee* It could have been bloody; that’s all I’m saying. 😛

I am just glad that you weren’t there to witness my fangirl moment, Tis! Fisticuffs over a book was one thing, having my IQ drop 100 pts upon meeting an author was a whole new level of embarrassment. Heh! Good thing that ZAM and Belinda were very gracious and politely refrained from running in the opposite direction upon witnessing my crazy display of fangirlism. Oh wait! They couldn’t run. They were trapped in the elevator. ;P

OMG! Do you know how much I wish I was there?? I had no idea the authors of some of my favorite stories would attend!! I would be in heaven!
I’ve been to Comic cons, stargate cons and horror cons, guess I will now add Yaoicon to the future “attend” list!

I’m so embarrassed because I didn’t actually attend the Yaoi con events! I truly went there to meet authors (those I know and those I — as a reader — stalk) so I played in the city a lot, chased down people I wanted to meet, and had a lot of nice meals with people I like. I KNOW that others have more info about the actual con and they can fill you in… I basically went so I could ride on BART. LOL

Thank you so much for all your reports. We are more interested in meeting people through your eyes rather than attending stuffy sessions at the conference. Been there, done that all my business life.
I was in SF for a week years ago and rode around on BART all the time – no one really needs a car in SF unless they’re going outside the city.
You’re right about one thing – you suck at taking photos. 🙂
Okay– meeting ZAM and Belinda (and Chris and Tam and TC and Andrew and Jenre and Clare and… and… and… and… and… and… and…) was SOOOOOOOO the best part of my weekend:-) (Okay– I can’t even remember everybody’s names–it was like trying to identify snowflakes in a blizzard– I was like, “ooooh! oooh! ooooh! I KNOOOOOOW THEM!!!!)

LOL– naw, baby, not under the table– just seriously tired! I got back from the Con and took the short people out begging for candy… big day for this timid ol’ thing… (Even bigger because my 16 yr old didn’t come home with candy, she got a kitten instead. Jeebus is that kid badly trained!)
