THE REVIEW
Ambrose wanted to go to his class reunion for one reason and one reason only, to meet Noah the man of his dreams whom he hadn’t seen since high school. Ambrose was now a successful entrepreneur with a chain of coffee shops in Chicago and was no longer the boy from geekdom. He also wasn’t a slouch in the looks department, at least not anymore as he spent a lot of his free time these days in the gym. Although he wanted to go to the reunion Ambrose didn’t want to appear to be a loser by showing up alone so he decided to rent some arm candy for the evening from www.rentboy.com (this is an actual website – I checked) 🙂 When he logged on to the site the rates were pretty steep but he felt that it was worth the money to rub the face of a certain someone in the dirt, and he made arrangements with “Ryan” to be his escort for the evening. In the meantime, while he waited for the big reveal he acted out his wet dreams of Noah banging him.
On the big day he picked up Ryan who was quite good looking so he felt that his money was well spent. When they arrived the first person he saw was of course Noah who was quite anxious to reacquaint himself with Ambrose, in fact he didn’t want to leave him alone even though he was with his date, Ryan. Noah, it seemed, was also gay and had always been attracted to Ambrose when they were in high school but he never came out because he didn’t want the same treatment that had been meted out to Ambrose by his jock friends. Now that they were both adults he made his desires obvious, and with urging from Ryan they soon ended up in one of the empty classrooms, having the hottest sex.
Steamy Reunion was quite entertaining but I would have liked the opportunity to get to know the protagonists a little more outside of the sex (or as much as one can get to know characters in such a short story) but Ambrose and Noah spent a lot of time having sex. I don’t mind a hot read some of the time, and in fact I like a few books because they are erotic, but these two characters literally could not keep their hands or anything else off each other. It didn’t matter that they were at a high school reunion, they ducked into a classroom to get it on. Anywhere they happened to be together was just as dangerous. Even one of Ambrose’s coffee shops was another encounter waiting to happen, and Ambrose could go hungry when he was invited to dinner at Noah’s apartment because that meant that he was dinner.
If you’re looking for a really hot read that’s sex almost 24/7 you’ll love Steamy Reunion, but if you want a little more substance Steamy Reunion might be found a tad wanting, although the author did try to fill in a bit of their backgrounds. I liked Ryan the rent boy because he was very funny and played matchmaker or “Fairy Gay Father” for our two hotties – maybe Ryan’s story will be next. 🙂
