Authors’ Book Giveaway – Missing Winners/Books?

Hi Guys

As far as our records go, Aunt lynn, Cole and I think we emailed everyone (readers and authors) and all of the donated books have found new homes. However, there’s a chance that we might have missed a couple of you OR you haven’t been able to connect (author/reader) so that your book has not been received to date if it’s an ebook. If it’s a print book you may not have heard from the author as yet. Since we would like to wrap all outstanding issues up by this weekend, if any readers still haven’t heard from the authors of the book(s) they have won, or if any authors haven’t heard from Aunt Lynn, Cole or me, please leave a comment on this post with your email addresses and the comment number on the authors’ giveaway post linked here. This information will help us to find the original transaction and resolve any outstanding issues espeditiously.

I would like to express my deep appreciation and gratitude to Aunt Lynn who pitched in from the very beginning of this project by volunteering to put the list of donated books together, which was a horrendous task, and then deciding to help with the giveaway by assigning books and then fiollowing up with emails to the authors. To Cole, who just joined our group of crazies a couple of weeks ago, I take my hat off to him because he pitched in and volunteered his services by assigning books and writing follow-up emails. He did a wonderful job but what a baptism of fire. lol. Both of these guest reviewers were outstanding and worked over the Christmas holidays to ensure that 95% of the books found new homes by Boxing Day. The angel in the picture represents both of them. I never expected the incredible number of books donated due to the generosity of the authors, and obviousy would not have been able to do this project on my own as in the previous 2 years.

To Feliz who offered to help – thank you so much. To Susie Q a new blogger on the site who also offered her services – thank you. To Ingrid, you know how much I appreciate you – you’re just lucky we didn’t have to use  your services this time – but it was close. 🙂 Last, but not least – Helen from Oz, thank you so much for offering to assist. We appreciate all of you and I’m keeping your emails in my files just in case. 🙂 If I missed any of you I apologise.

See you all next year …. maybe. lol.

  • I’d like to add my thanks to everyone. What a massive under-taking. Wave, maybe you could just send the angel to Cole as thanks? 😉

  • Hiya, you guys did an amazing job so I feel rather guilty asking about this but I was supposed to get L Shannon’s Acacia 2: Blindsided as one of the books that were handed out toward the end. I haven’t heard from L Shannon yet. The comment was #293 and my email address is: itmfiddler at gmail dot com. Thanks again for the wonderful contest. If you do it again next year, I’d love to help out if possible.

    • Check me off, Shannon just sent the book to me (along with Book #1 as well – WooHoo!). Thanks again for the fabulous giveaway. Happy Holidays!

    • Viviane,

We were wondering where you got off to! Thank you for writing back with your correct email. I’m emailing Jambrea right now with your new email.

  • Hello everybody, sending my thanks again for all the hard work you did to make our holiday nicer!

And from post 192, I am still owed William Cooper/Texan Summer–pdf

I originally forgot my email because I’m a doof, but went back and added it. Here it is again…

  • Oh, just wanted to acknowledge that I receied Chocolate, tea and the Dutchess by Britta Adams. I am acknowledging it here, because I am such an idiot. I received it, saved the book on my computer and instead of thanking the author right away (unless I did that?) deleted the e-mail accidentally. Ooops and thank you Ms.Adams.

  • Hi,
During the second offerings I won a copy of Mara Allen’s The Only Gold in eformat but I haven’t received it yet. My comment was #246. My email is: koanita2006@yahoo.com

And thanks again for organizing this giveaway! It was a blast. 🙂

I sent off a reminder to Mara with the comment number. I hope you hear from her today b/c she just replied to another winner whose book went missing. I apologise for the delay,.

      • I got an email from her and she said Dreamspinner will publish the book in March and she will send me a copy as soon as she has the finished work with the cover. Thanks for your help, Wave!

  • You guys all rock and I totally have a fully inappropriate crush on Cole now. *hee*

In fact, I’ve spoken with some of my contacts from ‘Trine’ and have redirected the angel-boy to Cole’s doorstep.

He’s been told about the key under the mat, but he seemed to be rather confused, asking who Matt was.

I’m afraid this particular angel might be less than bright… but when he looks like that, who needs a brain? 😛

  • I want to add my thanks and appreciation to you guys and all the authors who generously donated books.

I was one of the lucky ones to receive my first choice of books (hurray for the time difference!) and I’ve received and read it. Of course receiving it derailed for my plans for the day since I HAD to read it, never mind I had full day of work I needed to do. Then I had to reread couple of other books and suddenly it was evening… I have no control when it comes to books so I guess I should stay away from this site – not that I will 🙂

  • Thank you very much to all that made this giveaway possible, you rock. May extra-angels be available at your footsteps for the new year 🙂

    • Hi Sophy,

When I talked to Rick he said that he had emailed the book to you. Did you make sure your email was correct?

  • I still haven’t anything about my copy of “Whistling in the Dark” by Tamara Allen. My original comment was somewhere in the mid-40’s and I had a follow-up e-mail from you about a change in my selection from the Clare London backlist. Any update would be greatly appreciated. Happy, healthy New Year.

    • Hi Barbara
I wrote Mara about your win (I think she was going to contact about 15 winners) and she indicated that she had it in hand. I will be in touch with her again today, but you may also wish to check your spam mail since a lot of emails end up in spam if that person is not a regular corespondent.

Happy New Year and I’ll be in touch again.

  • Hi there

I still have not heard from anyone regarding my book. Nothing in my spam folder either. I would love to have an update please. Thanks.

Happy new year to everyone :=)

      • Hi Wave

Oh I am sorry, I forgot to mention to ignore my post #15. I posted this before receiving my book. Thanks again for following up for me. All the best for the new year.

    • Hi Aleks
I checked my list of winners and also contacted Aunt Lynn and Cole. I gave out two of your books and neither Lynn nor Cole has another winner listed, so it seems that there were just the two requests. If someone else did a requst a book and we don’t have it noted I’m sure they will show up and email me at which time I’ll contact you.

Thank you for donating your books to these readers. 🙂
