Hey Dreamspinner Authors
As you may be aware by now, Dreamspinner will be discontinuing their corporate donations effective January 1, 2013. This publisher has given away hundreds of books on this site over the past several years and I, for one, am very grateful to them for their generosity.
If you are a Dreamspinner author the giveaways don’t have to stop, but you will have to take the initiative if you want to donate your new releases by writing Aunt Lynn: freebooks [at] gayromance.org, copy to me: jessewave [at} gmail dot com. If you don’t, we will not be able to continue giving you and your books the same free promotion your books have been receiving over the years through Dreamspinner. Many of you already donate your books so you’re accustomed to the process but if you need any assistance we would be happy to tell you how to make your donations.
December 31 will be the last day that we will be offering books donated by Dreamspinner Press. Thanks to this publisher, many readers who could not afford new books, benefited from this program and I would personally like to thank Elizabeth North for trusting me and the site when we were just a little blip on the M/M scene. Elizabeth you rock.

Wave, I can’t speak for other Dreamspinner authors (though I’m sure I do), when I say that I sincerely appreciate the respect, reviews, and promotion that I receive from this site. You will definitely continue to get books from me as they come out.
Thank you, and thank you Elizabeth for continuing the program for so long.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday,
J. P. Barnaby
Thanks JP
It was great meeting you at last at GRL this year, and thank you for the copy of Aaron in print.
Happy holidays and merry Christmas if you celebrate it.
I’ve got your and Aunt Lynn’s freebooks emails, and I ain’t afraid to use them! 😀
Thanks so much for all y’all do to help promote authors’ work. The recent giveaway couldn’t have been easy.
And yes, Elizabeth certainly does rock.
Happy Holidays!
Hey Eden
Happy Holidays.
I know you have our email addresses. 😆
You’re welcome and you’re right – the giveaway was hard work but we made it through another year. 🙂
Of course, love. I am so very grateful for your support and words of wisdom, especially when I’ve banged my head against the wall on some of my stuff. I appreciate all the hard work you all do here and even when I might disagree with an opinion on a book, the reviewers are mostly very succinct about why they themselves disliked it. I appreciate that.
Great Giveaway and again, thanks. I shall stalk your doorstep. You’ll have to tell me what form of chocolate and alcohol your bribes need to take though. 😀 That was missing in the post.
Hi Rhys
Happy holidays.
This post is really just for “free” books donated by authors. In the past we would post some DSP new releases on the site as free books. In future, DSP authors will have to take the initiative to write us if they want to donate their book(s) since this publisher is now out of the picture for donations. Randy asked me to tell you that no bribes e.g. chocolates or alcohol are required to win a book. 😀
This new policy has no effect on our review process and we will still continue to review Dreamspinner books, so you’ll have to put up with our opinions. 🙂
What you will need to do in future is if you want us to profile your books as free books on the site you’ll have to write us.
Excellent! I am still reeling from cold meds and need to be led around by the nose for a while longer. Free books it is! Donations AMUCK!
Bribes were for the staff. Nothing gained by them. Just bribes. *grins*
You know I love and adore you. :GRINS:
