Author Profile – N.R. Walker

Recently I have been reading a few of N.R. Walker’s books starting with a free book on her website called Sixty Five Hours, after which I purchased Blind Faith, Through These Eyes, Blindside  and Ten in the Bin. I subsequently read Point of No Return and since I had fallen in love with her characters and writing I became curious about this Aussie writer, so I invited her to share a little information about herself with her fans (of which I’m sure there are thousands)   😀 because I thought that many of you would be just as curious. Here’s N.R. (Nicole) Walker in her own words:

Okay, so first of all, I’d like to say a huge thanks to Wave for inviting me here!

Where to start… I’m Australian, a mum of two busy kids, I have an evil, soul-sucking day job and a husband that, while he doesn’t exactly understand why I do what I do, he supports me nonetheless.

I stumbled into the writing world through the fanfiction door, later trying my hand at writing what fandom peeps call ‘Original Fiction’ – and presto! Point of No Return was born. I had a rather enlightening first experience with being published, have since moved publishers and even frolicked into self publishing, all with the help of the omgsofuckingawesome people I’ve met in the m/m community. I lubs them. Hard.

Now, three random facts about me:

I skydived out of the first plane I’d ever been in. It wasn’t until my second flight that I’d been in a plane when it landed.

I am deathly afraid of frogs. Yep. Just don’t even.

I have an intolerance to alcohol. While it may increase my ability to Walk like an Egyptian and sing like Whitney Houston – and it’s been known on more than one occasion to render my brain-to-mouth filter redundant – alcohol does, however, make me incredibly, hideously, extraordinarily ill.

Oh, and a bonus three random facts; I have a birthmark, a tattoo and red hair.

Dean soon realizes that being knocked unconscious is the best thing to ever happen to him.

Story is set in Australia, and uses Australian English.
