As most of you know, I’m a huge dog lover but I’m in love with polar bears. I’m enclosing a few pictures of polar bears to relieve all the Christmas shopping stress, but also to get you to have a new love for our northern neighbours who may be extinct in the next century. I will be visiting them this July and I’ll say hello for you. 😀

AWWWW!
Aren’t they gorgeous? 😎
Cute Wave! Are you doing the Churchill, Manitoba tour?
Hey Mary
Happy holidays! I’m not sure yet which route we’ll take while in Alaska. I do know that we’re planning to cruise with Norwegian and we’re going via Seattle and coming back via Victoria (staying for 3-4 days in Seattle, Victoria and Vancouver, but that’s as far as we’ve taken the planning. 😆 I wanted to go via Vancouver but that would mean flying in to Whittier (?) – not sure about the spelling – and then we would have to take a bus to Anchorage. I don’t do buses if I can help it 😯 😮
Brrrrr, all that snow 😮
But have fun
You’re such a chicken Majken. It’s warm there in the summer. Think midnight sun!! :happydance:
I’ve lived in Norway, I know snow, I HATE SNOW, it was not quite midnight sun in the Summer, but closer to it than here in Denmark, wasn’t too fond of that either 😕
Warm is good though 😉
I hate winter but I don’t hate fresh powdery snow. 🙂 Warm is VERY good.
Hi Wave,
don’t know if it’s interesting for you, but a week ago in the zoo of my hometown (Munich, the zoo’s name is Hellabrunn) there was a polarbear-twin-birth. (Don’t know if this is the right term, sorry).
Here are a few links with photographs and videos of the birth and the babies and so on (the video in the first link is very cute!):

Hope you will have fun in July!!!!
Eve
That’s incredible. I’m so concerned that with the ice melting, the polar bears will be extinct in most of our lifetimes. I’m so pleased to see that there are new births in captivity. Thank you for this. :bravo: :bananadancer:
Wave, you’re welcome 🙂
Here is another link, it’s the homepage of Hellabrunn, there are always updates with new videos and so on.

On the right side of the homepage is the possibility to change the language to english.
Have fun!
Thank you for this new link Eve.I will check it continuously during the next year. 🙂
