Featured this week: Love Mr Like a Rock
In art and in love, it s the rough edges that make things interesting.
Having grown up with artistic implements always in hand, there’s almost nothing Austin can’t make real. Except for one thing—an official relationship with his best friend, rowing teammate and occasional hookup, Vinnie.
The combination of emotional and sexual frustration fuels a spark between Austin and the nude model in his drawing class. Austin isn’t used to having trouble focusing; models are merely challenging subjects to be rendered on paper. But the geology TA’s direct blue gaze is powerful enough to drag Austin’s focus away from his physique.
After a quick and very dirty post-class encounter, all the reasons that Austin has been waiting for his best friend go fuzzy in his mind. Sean is nothing like Vinnie. Sean is persistent, pays attention, and makes it clear he wants to be together.
But if Austin can’t get his head and his heart on the same page, he could lose his friend, or his lover. Or both.
Warning: Contains rock geeks, tent sex, a dictatorial cox whose idea of a good time is drawing naked dudes, plus one naked dude who wants to be more than a good time
HAPPY READING!

I’m the first to comment so I will tell you that my favorite M/M romance is The Final Like by Kendal McKenna https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/616713007 and I am psyched to start the Cut and Run series while I’m recovery next week.
My favorites are too numerous to list, but I can always re-read the Change of Heart and Matter of Time series by Mary Calmes, Tell Me It’s Real & The Lightning-Struck Heart by TJ Klune, and Muscling Through by JL Merrow. I’m about to re-read The Engineered Throne by Megan Derr (for a challenge). I rated it 5 stars previously, so hopefully the re-read lives up to my expectations.
PS Gigi, I hope you get better soon.
Thanks WAL! I am having a hysterectomy a week from Monday. I’m happy about it because I have been in a lot of pain for the past few months so I’m looking forward to getting it over it. I will have to miss the RTL convention in April, but I will be going to GRL in October.
I’m taking a week off from work so I’ll have nothing to do but take pain pills and read for 7 days! Yay!
I thought I had myself covered with pre-orders, now find I’ve got to wait for my allowance top-up before I can get the RJ Scott, DC Juris, Annabelle Jacobs, Atom Yang or Edward Kendrick. Damn!
So many GOOD books, so little time. 😉
I’m currently reading Jay Northcote’s Imperfect Harmony and listening to Jamie Fessenden’s Violated narrated by the superb K.C. Kelly.
Would like to read Dirty Heart by Rhys Ford.
Violated was a hard read for me. And I’m excited for Imperfect Harmony!!
That’s some list of new releases that I’m quite hard-pressed to choose from. I could sort them down to two/three titles, but couldn’t squeeze to only one. *lol*
I’m currently reading Sue Brown’s Lyon Road Vets series. It’s England-setting, cute imperfect characters, with pets and lots of cooking. A heaven of fluff!! ;-))
I love Sue’s first Lyon Road Vets book. I can’t get enough of the dogs!
Yesterday I finished Lovers Leap by J.L. Merrow and I have just put some books in my kindle for the week: Trailer Trash by Marie Sexton, Blueberry Boys by Vanessa North, Go Your Own Way by Zane Riley and Miller’s Creek by R.G. Green.
Blueberry Boys!! Vanessa signed a paperbook copy for me a GRL 2015. *swoon*
I’ve just finished book four in the Storming Love:Meteor Strikes series. Not sure what I’ll read next but some of those on the list look good.
I just re-read The High King’s Golden Tongue by Megan Derr, The Servant by Mary Calmes and I’m listening to Maelstrom by Jordan L. Hawk. All very good!
Belen is listening to The Servant right now!
I can’t wait to read the new books by Garrett Leigh that are for preorder on Riptide. They sound good. I recently read The Rancher’s Son and it was great. I can’t wait for book 3. And now I can’t wait to read Patchwork Paradise by Indra Vaughn.
Riptide has some great books! Have you read Garrett’s “Between Ghosts” yet?
Congratulations Serena! You are this week’s winner. I have emailed you with all the info.
What a great week of new releases! I just finished reading The Glasgow Lads series and wish I could magically transport myself to Scotland. I’ve already picked up Dirty Heart and have it ready to start Chapter One on my first break tomorrow at work. There are many more pictured abova that I’m itching to get my hands on. Thanks for the many reviews that help guide me to my next “favorite” book.
Thanks for visiting and reading our reviews flutterfil! I feel all warm ‘n fuzzy. 🙂
I loved Glaskow Lads. I’m looking forward to Evan’s story. Lets see how he ‘ll redeem himself.
Currently reading Out of the Darkness, book 2 of Kate Sherwood’s Dark Horse series. Book 1 was on sale at Dreamspinner Press so gave it a go – now I’m hooked!
Oh. Dark Horse is a series I’ve been meaning to read for awhile now. Such good reviews, but it seems kinda angsty.
I just finished reading Dirty Heart and loved it! Before that, I read the complete Sin City series by Tricia Owens. Very enjoyable. I would like to add Marie Sexton’s Trailer Trash (because I was an 80’s girl) and Brandon Witt’s Under a Sky of Ash to my Kindle. Next up, I’m going to read Santino Hassell’s Sutphin Boulevard and Sunset Park so I will be ready for First and First when it releases in April. 🙂
Gigi, best of luck with your surgery. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Enjoy all those books you’re going to get to read during your week off. 🙂
Thank you Lisa! I really want to read Trailer Trash too.
I notice a few of you don’t have personalized avatars. If you go to http://gravatar.com/ you get set up a personal avatar that links to your email address. It will show up on any website or blog automatically if you are logged in with that email. I love it and love that it changes if I use a different address.
And it’s free!
Thanks for this! I was trying to remember how to do it!
Currently reading Santino Hassell’s After Midnight. I’m loving it!
I am currently reading the Will & Patrick series (1-5) by Leta Blake & Alice Griffiths and sadly (but also impatiently) waiting the last book in the series. Although on the grapevine I believe there might be a spin off series, which will be good as these two make a pretty good team (the writers and WIll & Patrick) . I am also reading the first two books in a new series by RJ Jones, As the Leaves Fall and As the Ice Melts, both I can recommend. I have so many of the books above on my wish list, especially Wade Kelly’s Bank Hours.
