Unfortunately, the truth can never stay hidden, and when it comes out, Darwin may lose any hope of holding onto the future they’ve begun to build.

This book truly surprises me. Not in a bad way. I figured it would be a good read by the description of it but it truly was a wonderful read.

Ricky and Darwin would be what most people would call the odd couple because they come from totally different backgrounds.

Darwin has known what love is like because he lives it with Dean until Dean got sick and lost his battle with cancer. Darwin was shattered after that and I honestly believe he never truly recovered after it. I think after losing Dean, Darwin pretty much lives his life as a shell of a person he formally was. I think he did not even realize how much he has truly shut down and just did what he had too in order to call his life a life.

Darwin’s only guilty pleasure was going to a restaurant named Asiago’s to look at and admire his favorite waiter. On one particular night that he went to eat there and enjoy one of the few things that he allowed himself, Darwin was greeted with a new waiter and to say he was not happy is an understatement. To his surprise he was put in his place by the new waiter Ricky and Darwin encountered Ricky’s complete honestly for the first time.

When Darwin realizes he was being a jerk he apologized and asked for the specials and in turn Ricky was honest with him and told him that in his own opinion corn dogs at another location where better then the food he could serve Darwin there.

This was the start of Darwin returning to the living and realizing for the first time since he lost Dean he was in list with someone. After a few more incidents the two men started dating but there was still a very big secret between them that Darwin was concerned could destroy what they was starting to build. Which’s turned out to be close to being true.

Ricky was not comfortable with the amount of wealth that Darwin possesses and this was that start of their demise. Ricky has to decide if Darwin being rich and Ricky being in the opposite end of the scale from Darwin is enough to end the relationship or is there a chance that things could work out between them.

I think this was a wonderful read. I love how Parker Williams did not make it easy for Ricky to come to a decision on whether they should be together or not. A lot of books make it look like it is easy for someone with no money to fall for the billionaire and Parker Williams did the opposite of that. Parker showed that it may not be as easy as a Cinderella story and that money doe changes things for some people not because that want it but because they want to be able to make their own way and not use the others money to do so. I really loved that about this book. Just as I loved the story itself about how these two men came together and how sweet their love for each other was.

It was a wonderful read that is for sure. Great job on a wonderful book Parker Williams. This book is definitely something to be proud of!!!!
