Bryce and Wesley have been best friends for years and they’ve shared a lot. From dorms to the same women—and men. Bryce sees all the change happening around him, knows Wesley is getting fed up. They’ve been doing their dance of casually hooking up with one another and others since their college days.

Now they’ve transitioned from care-free early twenties, to their late twenties and life is settling down, Wesley wants more. If he can’t, he doesn’t know if he can stay. But Bryce has the responsibility of a family business that fell on his shoulders after a tragedy, and doesn’t want to hold Wesley back in his small hometown, especially if he doesn’t know if he can commit for the right reasons.

Others come and go but Wesley and Bryce have been each other’s constant. Now that emotions run deeper, they have a huge decision to make. Do they go their separate ways, continue being best friends that eventually become exes, or do they take the next big step as a unit?

Exes by Kade Boehme was such a flufftastic story. It’s an endearing tale of friends, exes, casual hook ups, and trust.

My highlights:
-Bryce and Wesley. They were fun, sweet, loyal- just all around good guys.

-Plot. It’s a simple slice of life storyline. I loved that there weren’t crazy villains nor any over the top drama. It’s two friends in love who jump in and take a chance.

-Dual POV.

-Flawless pace.

-The smexy scenes. Good golly Ms. Molly! *fans self*

-And a great ending.

Editing. It’s been addressed in reviews, so I wanted to address it as well. I know there was a discrepancy and some minor errors. I have been advised that the issues have been fixed. Please, don’t let it deter you from giving this novella a chance.

I had such a delightful time reading this story. The way they spoke and touched each other gave me butterflies. If you need a shorty to take you to a happy place and relieve you of everyday life, I highly recommend this one. 4.5 Stars!

I'm a thirty-something Colombian mother of two. My favorite pastime is to get lost in a book. I'm more of a fluffy romance reader- though I do love an angsty read. I don't often read Mystery/Suspense nor dark stories. I also NEVER knowingly read stories that don't end in an HEA or at least HFN. I LOATHE cliffhangers with a passion and not a huge fan of stories with cheating, but it's not a deal breaker. My favorite tropes are: -Best friends to lovers -May/December -Hurt/comfort/healing -Opposites attract -Humor (as long as it's not slapstick type comedy) My favorites authors are: -Lane Hayes -Santino Hassell -Kade Boehme -TJ Klune -Heidi Cullinan -NR Walker -Eli Easton -Amy Lane -Keira Andrews -Nick Pageant -Annabeth Albert -Jay Northcote -Riley Hart/Nyrae Dawn -Melanie Hansen Some of my all time favorites stories are: -The Five Boroughs Series by Santino Hassell -Carry the Ocean by Heidi Cullinan -BOATK Series by TJ Klune (anything he writes actually) -Let's Hear It For The Boy by TA Webb -A Kind of Truth by Lane Hayes -Strong Signal by Santino Hassell & Megan Erickson -Superhero by Eli Easton NetGalley Member since 2015 2016 NetGalley Challenge 80% Professional Reader 2015 Challenge Participant
