Ferran and Jason’s relationship is not like an other relationship. For one it is unheard of for a human to be allowed to marry a Perels. For as long as Perelan has been around there has never been an outsider allowed in their city. It has been strictly forbidden for a Perel to marry outside of their realm of people. Also most Perels has multiple partners and not just one. So for these reasons their relationship was very different from other relationships.
It was easy for Ferran and Jason to fall in love with each other. Even though they never expected to be able to be together long term due to Perelan laws, they did not pass up the chance they had together. The connection they felt for one another radiated off the pages. I was able to not only feel the connection they had with one another but I could feel the love they felt for each other.
When the opportunity for the two of them to be able to be together permanently oin Ferran’s world they both jumped in even with the certainty of the unknown that they was about to face. The love they felt for each other gave both men the courage to face whatever obstacles and consequently the danger that was coming their way.
This book was different from any other book that I have read. I really felt that I was in a completely different time and world as I was reading this book. It was an adventurous read that took me as the reader to another time and place but I was able to feel like I was apart of the things that was happening within the book. I truly enjoyed this read and I hope their will be another book in this series in the future. Cari Z. proved to be an amazing author with this book by capturing my attention and by making me totally out of this world. I felt like I was truly on the plant and city that the characters were in with them. That is not an easy thing to accomplish and Cari Z. was able to accomplish that. This was a brilliant read and I will definitely recommend it to others.
