A sexy new M/M romance from New York Times Bestselling author Tessa Bailey

When CEO Renner Bastion walks into a room, everyone keeps their distance. Well, everyone but the sarcastic, tattooed, Boston-bred security guard whose presence has kept Renner in New Jersey longer than intended. As if the unwanted attraction isn’t unsettling enough, Renner finds out his protector isn’t as unavailable as originally thought.

Milo Bautista just came out to his wealthy, ultra-confident boss, a man he secretly respects and admires…in more ways than he’ll admit. Worldly, experienced Renner would never look in his direction, let alone share some of that confidence he wears like a cloak, so Milo has set his sights on someone else to be his first.

Until Renner offers him private lessons in seduction…

Tessa Bailey was an author whose Het Romance I enjoyed reading. Alpha men, strong females, snark, and sexy times- what was there not to like? And then I saw she was crossing over into Gay Romance- Scoooore! While this one did start a little rough for me, I soon began to jive with the story and got sucked in. Wound Tight ended up winning me other.

What I loved:

-Milo and Renner. They were well fleshed out and showed growth throughout the story.

-Dual POV!

-The sexual tension was off the charts.

-Steam of course- it is Tessa Bailey.

-Banter!

-Easy story pace.

-Age gap

-Boss/employee romance

-The conflict towards the end pulled at my heartstrings and the romantic gesture that followed made me swoon.

My only complaint was that the push-n-pull lasted too long. It’s not a favorite plot device of mine, and it happened too many times for my taste.

Can it be read out of order seeing that this is book 4 of the series? Yes, I was afraid I’d be lost, and the other characters do show up but it wasn’t a big deal in the end. I think that’s part of the reason it started roughly; I didn’t know what to expect.

All in all, I think Tessa Bailey has a hit on her hands. If you need an escape from reality full of passion and romance, you don’t want to miss this one! 4 Stars!

Author

I'm a thirty-something Colombian mother of two. My favorite pastime is to get lost in a book. I'm more of a fluffy romance reader- though I do love an angsty read. I don't often read Mystery/Suspense nor dark stories. I also NEVER knowingly read stories that don't end in an HEA or at least HFN. I LOATHE cliffhangers with a passion and not a huge fan of stories with cheating, but it's not a deal breaker. My favorite tropes are: -Best friends to lovers -May/December -Hurt/comfort/healing -Opposites attract -Humor (as long as it's not slapstick type comedy) My favorites authors are: -Lane Hayes -Santino Hassell -Kade Boehme -TJ Klune -Heidi Cullinan -NR Walker -Eli Easton -Amy Lane -Keira Andrews -Nick Pageant -Annabeth Albert -Jay Northcote -Riley Hart/Nyrae Dawn -Melanie Hansen Some of my all time favorites stories are: -The Five Boroughs Series by Santino Hassell -Carry the Ocean by Heidi Cullinan -BOATK Series by TJ Klune (anything he writes actually) -Let's Hear It For The Boy by TA Webb -A Kind of Truth by Lane Hayes -Strong Signal by Santino Hassell & Megan Erickson -Superhero by Eli Easton NetGalley Member since 2015 2016 NetGalley Challenge 80% Professional Reader 2015 Challenge Participant
