This book does not work as a standalone. You have to read The Guy series first to understand what’s going on.

I really enjoyed revisiting these couples.

Anthony, Dean and their growing family are happier than ever. Anthony plans this big Thanksgiving meal where everyone is invited. Naturally, things don’t go as planned. Poor Dean…

Aaron and Jesse are in a great place too. We see them planning a surprise for each other. What they don’t know is that they ‘re planning the same surprise!

Henry and Locke…Sigh. This is my favorite couple in the series. I love Locke so hard. Still gruff but kind hearted and protective of those he loves. And I’m happy that we go to see his possessive-jealous and sexy side too. The new addition to their family couldn’t be more perfect.

What I didn’t enjoy that much is the new couple, Mac and Connor. Mac (Jesse’s agent) was Connor’s boyfriend back in college and now, after all these years they reunite. The reason they broke up in the first place seemed like a big misunderstanding to me. Despite the obvious attraction, things felt rushed between them and I didn’t have the chance to connect with them.

Overall, this is a light, sexy and funny addition for the lovers of the series. And don’t worry, the HEAs remain intact.
