Landon knows who he wants, he’s been dreaming about Adam Taggart his whole life. Tag, though? He thinks Landon’s too poor, too young, too wrong to be his.

Landon Gaudet may not be the best bull rider on earth, but he knows that’s where the money is in rodeo. His Cajun heart is more involved with horses, though, and with finding the cowboy he’s been dreaming of all of his relatively short life. Adam Taggart has been around the block more than once, and while he thinks Landon is special, he also thinks the kid deserves better than a safety man with more than his share of notches on the bedpost.

Adam does everything he can to resist Landon, but there’s not a man alive who doesn’t love being loved, so eventually he gives in. Landon can’t believe that Adam is finally with him, that his cowboy has finally come around to his way of thinking. The only problem is that Adam isn’t sure he deserves love, or that he really has any to give. He questions everything from his need for Landon to his family’s assertion that he can do better than a boy from the bayou. Can Landon show Adam that sometimes magic is real, and that all you really need is to have a little faith?

Back to Back is an enjoyable read about cowboys and riding and rodeos. It also had a little supernatural/magic element too. I did enjoy the story but not as much as I would have.

I liked the love story between the main characters Adam and Landon. I liked the way their relation developed and how it grew. The way they both reacted when forced into circumstances they were in was realistic and it was understandable. I also loved the way Landon always stuck to what he believed in and also the way he fought for his relation with Adam. Adam is a little skeptical of their relation but he also takes a chance. And the issues they had to face and overcome was portrayed in a realistic way. I also loved their chemistry. Now for the problems I faced in this book. One was the conversations and also writing style of same. It was the different styles used. It made the conversations and what was happening a little hard to follow and at times created a problem in enjoying the story to the fullest and appreciate the story. Also felt that at times the story focused more on rodeo and it also made it a little hard to follow the story.

Back to Back is a story which is enjoyable in spite of the problems felt. If you are someone who loves rodeos and cowboys then this book is for you.
