Coming Up This Week – October 25

This week we have an interview, two guest bloggers and tons of reviews. But before we get there let’s do a quick recap of  last week –

I did a post on Cover Art and it seemed to have struck a nerve because there were many comments on the post from both authors and readers, about why they love and hate some book covers. Tam’s quiz on M/M books which tested your knowledge of authors and their books went over in a big way – many of you were still writing up to the middle of the week. Erastes blogged about Big Books and why she loves them. I think comments are still coming in because you obviously can’t get enough of the topic.

Victor J. Banis posted on The Golden Age of Gay Fiction but he also gave us his opinions on a couple of other topics before he got to the main event. If you want to check out his post it’s on the site. Leslie also did a post  on what is gay sex, in response to Maine’s possible repeal of the State’s present same sex marriage law..

Today I posted reviews on two books – one of them is on my keeper shelf, Almost Like Being in Love by Steve Kluger, and Just for You by Jet Mykles, a delightful GFY story.

On Monday the Amber Allure “free” book is Deeper Blue by A.J. Llewellyn.  Also on Monday Aunt Lynn is reviewing Food and Books by Drew Zachary and Fortune’s Favour by Cassidy Ryan.

On Tuesday, October 27, Rowan McBride is my interview subject and she talks about muscle growth, being gender fluid, Akabane Kuroudo of Getbackers, and tells me what she wants the guys in the hot tub to bring to the party. Should be a very interesting interview.

Also on Tuesday, Erastes blogs about Young Adult books and why more publishers aren’t getting into the act.

The Amber Allure “free” book is The V in Vigilant by J.M. Snyder.

On Wednesday, October 28, K.Z. Snow talks about Sniveling Emo Snot Monkeys. I’m not going to tell you what it’s about because it’s a surprise:-D
Also on Wednesday Val will be posting her review of Curse of the Pharaoh’s Manicurist by Angelia Sparrow and Naomi Brooks and I will probably be posting my review of A Helping Hand by Shayla Kersten.

I’m not sure about Thursday but I might have the review ready for Coming Home by Victor J. Banis and Blue Skye by Viki Lyn.

On Friday James Buchanan is guest blogging for Halloween but I don’t know which scary topic he will be talking about.
Aunt Lynn will be reviewing The Hired Man by Jan Irving and I’m really looking forward to reading what she has to say about this book.

On Saturday, to close out the week, Jenre is reviewing Muse by Clare London and a Dreamspinner anthology Games in The Dark.

Tam will be joining us behind the scenes, but not as a reviewer. She’s going to be a roving reporter for the website and write her own posts, for which I’m very grateful. She’s been guest blogging  since we moved to the new website and I think she should be doing so under her own name. So welcome again Tam and I look forward to new posts that your brain will be dreaming up.

My author interview next week is Josh Aterovis, Young Adult author of many best selling books including Bleeding Hearts and All Lost Things.

Also next week I’m starting a new season of my For Love of Books series of interviews with book reviewers, and the first victim er.. candidate is Jenre. I can’t wait to see her responses to some of the questions.
